About DGC
Dallas Girls Chorus (DGC) is the premiere new ensemble where your girls will find their voice. Weekly rehearsals incorporate singing, skills and leadership development, and community building with strong focus on:

-
Vocal Pedagogy
-
Music Theory
-
Sight Reading
-
Ear Training
-
IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet)
-
Language Proficiency including Latin, Spanish, Italian, French, German, and Hebrew
-
Music and Composer History

Beyond the music, the top five personal characteristics of a DGC singer will reflect the tenants of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) competencies: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.
These skills will be implemented by our Dean of Choristers, Shanti Majefski, a licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor who specializes in SEL.

Diversity and Inclusion
At the Dallas Girls Chorus, we embrace and embody the principles of inclusion, diversity, access, and equity in every facet of our organization. We firmly believe in equal opportunities and reject any form of discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, bodily expression, socio-economic status, national origin, or physical or developmental ability. As outlined in our mission, the primary focus of DGC is to serve young women. As such, we warmly welcome and accept all individuals who sing with a treble voice and identify as female/non-binary.
